Visits at home

Physical therapy in your own rooms, for people who find the trip to a clinic hard. Your therapist works on the steps, rugs, chairs and hallways you use every day.

This care is for you if

  • Getting to a clinic is hard for you or your driver

  • You want to practice in the place where you feel unsteady

  • Your family would like to learn how to help in the house

  • You live in Pojoaque, Nambé or a village nearby

What a visit looks like

  • What we do

Your therapist brings bands, balance pads and a gait belt, looks at how you move through your home and practices the steps you take every day. Genaro and Christian lead our home visits.

  • What decides how many visits

What your therapist finds, what you want to do again and how your body responds. Your therapist talks it through with you.

  • Who treats you

A physical therapist. Genaro treats in English and Spanish, and Christian in English.

    About our team
  • How it is paid for

With your plan or by paying yourself. We explain what to expect before your first visit.

    How fees work
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about this care

Does Medicare cover physical therapy at home?

Medicare Part B can cover outpatient physical therapy at home if you are not getting home health at the same time. If you already have a home health agency, tell us and we sort out which plan of care applies before we start.

Where do you go?

We visit homes around Pojoaque. See the clinic and home visits page for the towns.

What do I need to have ready?

A clear path through the rooms we will use, and a chair with arms if you have one. Your therapist helps with the rest.

Ask about a first visit

Tell us what you would like to do again. We do not ask for medical details in the form.
