What a visit looks like

  • What we do

Your therapist builds an exercise plan around what you want to do, such as standing up, climbing steps or walking to the mailbox, and checks that your cane or walker fits you. You get a short list to repeat at home.

  • What decides how many visits

What your therapist finds, what you want to do again and how your body responds. Your therapist talks it through with you.

  • Who treats you

A physical therapist. Mirta works on strength and walking, and Genaro and Maritza treat in Spanish.

    About our team
  • How it is paid for

With your plan or by paying yourself. We explain what to expect before your first visit.

    How fees work
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about this care

Do I need to bring my cane or walker?

Yes, if you use one. Your therapist checks that it is the right height and shows you how to use it on steps and curbs.

Will the exercises hurt?

We work within what you can tolerate. Tell us if something does not feel right and we change the plan.

Can I do the exercises at home?

Yes. You get a short list on paper, in English or Spanish, and your therapist shows you each one.
